Managing your health during the winter months
Like always, sleep is crucial and it isn’t very hard during the winter months to climb into a nice warm bed to get some shut-eye. So get your 7-9 hours. Move! Seriously, so many people stay motionless during the colder months. Make sure you are proactive and get yourself moving to keep your cardio and strength levels at a relatively good level. You don’t necessarily need to break any records with your fitness during winter, however, staying mindful about your fitness can go a long way to keeping you healthy.
Sweat. Obviously working out will help you sweat but also consider taking a sauna and a hot bath once a week to increase your body temperature and to get a solid sweat. It has some amazing health benefits for your body and mind, especially during winter.
Lastly, don’t get sloppy with your diet. Stay on top of all the healthy vegetables and herbs to help boost your immune system and keep your energy and mood levels high. I’ll also mention a vitamin D supplement due to us not getting outdoors. Numerous studies have indicated the general population is deficient in vitamin D. So get yourself outside when you can and possibly get yourself a supplement.
Stay active and mindful about your health during winter 🥶🔥🤟
